We couldn’t have wished for a more welcoming Christmas venue. Santa is very clever – he still found us. A good time enjoyed by all.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Our first visit was so great we had to come back and get married!! Thank you – your cottage is always lovely.

A very lovely cottage. Home sweet home. Wish we could stay another week. Loved the islands and castles – the Tree House Restaurant (Alnwick Garden) is a must.

We loved the house as it met all our needs. We love the location (2nd visit). Thanks for the welcome tray and log fire.

We have thoroughly loved our 2 weeks in this beautiful part of the UK. Great house with all home comforts thought of. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time – stunning scenery and a lovely, comfortable house in a great location. Sad to go! High points were Cragside, Low Newton Beach, Alnwick Castle, Ship Inn, Craster, Bamburgh Castle – all highly recommended. Thank you

Extremely comfortable, pleasant house. Excellent facilities generally and very thrilled with the accommodation and the area – thought the scenery and whole area were stunning!

On the ground floor you will find a welcoming living room with open fire, flat screen TV with DVD player and DVDs, comfy seating and cosy throws. Fold away doors lead to second snug sitting room with TV, video player (remember those?) and board games, as well as a radio/CD player and selection of CDs. The spacious kitchen is to the back of the house and overlooks a courtyard. It is well equipped and has dining area at one end, as well as a washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Off the hallway there is also an understair cupboard and a cloakroom which doubles as a toy room.

The stairs to the first floor lead to a light and airy double bedroom with 5ft bed, large wardrobes and en-suite bathroom. There are three other lovely rooms – a twin, a double and a single. The shower room with toilet is next to the twin room and there is always plenty of shower gel, shampoo and soap.
Externally, the Hollies has an enclosed garden to the front with patio furniture and a barbeque (should you feel the need!). Although there is none on site, parking is very near by.
There are no hidden costs and all the bed linen, towels (including kitchen towels, oven gloves and cleaning materials), oil central heating, electricity and logs for the fire are included in the price.
